Affiliate disclosure
BuySeaMoss is reader-supported. When you buy through links on this site, we may earn an affiliate commission from the brand or retailer — at no extra cost to you. This is how the site is funded, and it is disclosed inline, above the link, on every page where such a link appears — not buried down here.
The specifics
- Brand programs. We participate in affiliate programs run by sea moss brands. When a brand we review has an active partnership with us, that page says so explicitly, above the first commercial link.
- Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We use Amazon links only for kitchen equipment (jars, blenders, strainers) — never for sea moss itself.
- Free samples. If a product was provided free of charge, the review says so. FTC rules treat free product as a material connection; so do we.
What commissions don’t buy
- Rankings. Roundup positions are set by the published methodology on each roundup.
- Verdicts. Reviews keep their cons. A review with no cons is an ad, and we don’t publish ads dressed as reviews.
- Silence. We cover recalls and safety issues affecting partner brands, on the same terms as any other brand.
We also review products from brands with which we have no commercial relationship — those pages earn us nothing.
If we ever sell our own product
Should BuySeaMoss launch its own sea moss product, every page selling it will be labeled as our own marketing, and every review of a competing product will carry a conflict-of-interest notice. That policy is in place now, before it’s needed. See our editorial standards.
